Mealey's Stone Harbor Bedroom Set
We’ve been talking about how to decorate your home using autumn colors, but we can also go an entirely different direction and use white (a neutral color that can fit any season) to brighten or calm your bedroom. Just go with natural, warm colors for your bedding like tan and oatmeal, or richer fall colors like chocolate, burnt orange, or deep green, or ice blue to invoke the oncoming winter and holiday season! A white bedroom set in a room painted dark tan, blue, or even a rich chocolate brown can show off a stark but pleasing contrast. A bed with a sculpted head and footboard gives some character and interest, and of course the matching 5 drawer chest and dresser and mirror completes it. A paint job that looks slightly unfinished in some areas with handles that are done in the same style adds a vintage, slightly distressed but classic feel to the entire set.
Mealey's Stone Harbor Dining Set
Of course a matching dining room set in the same white would also be great and can go in another direction than the colors presented before. The same unfinished, vintage white looks good in any dining room and adds a classic look for any time of year, but especially towards the holidays. Go with the dining room table with an oak table top to give it some added warmth, and dining chairs upholstered in a linen like material for more comfort. The china should be one that can be especially used for a busy holiday party...one that holds special dishware and accessories in itss top sits on the bottom base in a way that it leaves an open table top underneath to use for preparing a dish or setting plates. A matching sideboard with a rack underneath, drawers for silverware and door chests with shelving for more special dishware or glasses finishes off a useful and pretty set for your kitchen and for seasonal guests.
