I don’t know about you but besides the beach, summer makes me think about trying new things. Things like new restaurants, new vacation spots and new furniture pieces for my home. This usually brings me to think about an item people very rarely change in their homes; DINING ROOM CHAIRS. But people, your dining room chairs do not have to match your dining room table or each other!!

For some people this concept is way outside their comfort zone and I can already see the panicked look in their eyes. But if you have "out-loved" your dining room set or it just doesn’t speak to the person you have become, don't feel like you have to hold on to it because you're afraid of trying something new. And YES, it was a big investment, but by switching out just a few chairs it becomes a great way to update the look without spending too much "moolah".

Let's take a look at the Baxter Dining Room Set (shown left). Clearly the two chairs on the right (Rattan side chair and Natural Beige dinning chair) are not part of this set, but they add the right amount of visual interest and personality to the set. The same way a pair of earrings adds that POP to an outfit. The textural difference gives the setting depth and mixes up a potentially mundane setting that makes it a little more special.
